Introduction

When someone thinks of Argentina, the first things they think of are probably Tango, Football and Gauchos and maybe the more travelled of you will add Evita to that list. But Argentina offers so much more than that. Being the most cosmopolitan country in Latin America, Argentina can offer you infinite choices of things to do and places to see, even for the most demanding of travellers! From the European-flavoured charm of Buenos Aires City to the vast grassy plains of the Pampas; From the boisterous Iguazu Falls in the far north to witnessing the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier in the far south; from spotting Whales to the Welsh.

Not in vain Argentina is also known as “The land of the Six Continents” for its variety of landscapes, climate and people. The stunning natural wonders of the country, together with its elegant cities of European-flavoured charm and sophistication and a truly passionate culture make it the ideal choice for your next trip. Argentina will tempt you with its sumptuous food and fine wine; it will captivate you with its culture and thrill you with its sultry moves of the world-famous dance - tango.

Winter in Argentina is ideal for exhilarating snow sports such as skiing and snowboarding while the summer opens up a whole network of interesting trails for trekking and horseback riding. Situated in the southernmost part of the American continent, Argentina is the world’s eighth largest country, covering an area of up to 2.8 million square kilometers and offers visitors a wide range of activities that is probably unrivalled anywhere in the world. Argentina has, arguably, the tastiest beef, the sexiest dance, some of the cutest penguins, the highest peak and the most cosmopolitan and trendiest city in South America.

Add that to its vast plains and deserts; glistening lakes and thundering glaciers in southern Patagonia and some of the greatest waterfalls on Earth, and you have a destination with immense potential.

The immigration of Europeans to the country in the late nineteenth and twentieth century’s produced a heavy concentration of people from Spanish, Italian, French, German, Eastern European and British ancestry. Also Japanese, Syrian and Lebanese. With the huge influx of immigrants, the native South Americans and the descendents of black slavery, Argentina has produced a diversified culture that is bursting with history, vibrant with dance and diverse in its language that is primarily Spanish but composed of words from the many languages that were introduced to the country.

With such a variety of scenery and culture that Argentina offers, the themed options you can think of are endless. Just dare to dream…
